The Canadian Youth Assembly is a federal non-profit organization that has three major focuses: education, volunteerism and creating dialogue.

We're giving youth the tools they need to succeed! We're showing them where they can get involved and helping them along the way. The CYA is helping youth realize their full potential! We're ensuring that youth are educated, equipped, prepared, and making the difference in their community!

• CYA Hosts Conference: February 20th in Ottawa

  The 2010 Canadian Youth Assembly Leadership Conference is hosted by the Canadian Youth Assembly, sponsored by the University of Ottawa that will feature two guest speakers on the topic of youth leadership.

  Currently, we have confirmed STEVE PAIKIN (host of TVO’s The Agenda) as a speaker and are currently working towards securing a second speaker.

  By holding this conference, our goal is to encourage youth to become more active in their community and to showcase some of the ways they can get involved in their community.

  There will be a networking event at the end of the conference.

  Admission is free! Bring a food item to help out the SFUO Food Bank or a donation for a charity or the CYA!

• A few recent updates: We have a new Aboriginal Outreach Volunteer! Once they're settled in and have chosen a project, we'll be sure to let everyone know!

  Our Francophone Liason (Immanuel Giulea) will be working on getting our website fully translated into French!
